Compassionate Support While Learning To Navigate Life After An Autoimmune Diagnosis

Your world changed the moment your doctor shared the words “autoimmune condition.”

The questions, the fears, and the uncertainty can feel overwhelming but you don’t have to carry it alone.

I’m here to guide you through the mental and emotional side of your journey, so you can find stability, strength, and purpose again.

Helping You Regain Balance,

Confidence and Clarity

I guide individuals navigating life with an autoimmune diagnosis to manage the emotional and mental challenges that often come with it. Together, we focus on creating balance, building resilience, and strengthening your mindset so you can feel more in control of your life and your next steps.

My approach bridges the gap between medical treatment and emotional wellbeing, helping you reconnect with your sense of purpose and peace.

Addressing The Elephant In The Room

After a diagnosis, most people are handed prescriptions, treatment plans, and medical advice but no one stops to ask, “How are you really doing?”

Many doctors simply don’t have the time or resources to support patients emotionally. And yet, that’s exactly what so many people crave the chance to talk, to process, and to be understood.

I understand that sense of loss, confusion, and frustration. The days that blur together between appointments, or when you feel like no one around you “gets it.”

That’s where I come in to help you navigate the emotional side of this life change with empathy, structure, and support.

Turning Challenge Into Purpose

That journey taught me that strength isn’t about pushing through it’s about showing up for yourself in new ways.
It’s learning to listen to your body, honor your emotions, and take back the pen to rewrite your story.

Now, I help clients find their footing and rediscover their spark.
I work with individuals one-on-one to:

  • Regain emotional balance and stability

  • Build supportive habits and routines

  • Work through fear, frustration, and self-doubt

  • See life beyond the diagnosis with renewed confidence

My mission is simple: To remind you that you are not your diagnosis, you are your resilience.

Beyond The Coaching Room

When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me embracing the life I once thought I’d lost.

I love hiking through the Pocono Mountains, feeling the breeze on my face, and being reminded of how far I’ve come. My favorite moments, though, are spent dancing and laughing with my granddaughters who’ve gone from watching me struggle to move comfortably to cheering me on as “Gamma who never sits still.”

Life with an autoimmune condition doesn’t mean you have to stop showing up for the things you love.

It’s about rewriting the rules finding new ways to do what makes you feel alive, even if it looks different than before. I believe in living fully, celebrating every small victory, and finding joy in ordinary moments.

Whether it’s trying a new recipe, traveling, or simply sitting outside with a good cup of coffee, I remind myself daily: my diagnosis doesn’t define me, my resilience does.

What I’m Letting Go of Before Spring Begins

March 11, 20264 min read

What I’m Letting Go of Before Spring Begins

Last week, after the blizzard melted and the sun finally stayed out past dinner, I stood in my kitchen looking at my planner.

March always used to mean momentum.

I would start filling in dates.
Projects.
Appointments.
Things I had put off all winter.

There was a time when I equated a full calendar with proof that I was okay.

If I could keep up, I was winning.
If I could do more, I was back.

But this year, as I looked at those open spaces on the page, I felt something different.

I felt hesitation.

Not fear.
Not laziness.
Just a quiet awareness that I don’t want to build my life the way I used to.

Living with autoimmune disease has taught me that what I carry into a season matters just as much as what I plan inside it.

And if I’m honest, there are things I’ve been carrying that don’t belong in spring.

I’ve been carrying the belief that I should feel better by now.

I’ve been carrying the pressure to prove that the last flare didn’t slow me down.

I’ve been carrying the old voice that says, “You’re behind.”

That voice sounds productive.
It sounds responsible.
It even sounds strong.

But it isn’t kind.

So before I fill in a single new commitment this month, I’m choosing to let a few things go.

I’m letting go of the need to catch up.

I’m letting go of comparing this year’s energy to who I was five years ago.

I’m letting go of the idea that growth has to look visible to count.

Because here’s what I know now.

Letting go is not weakness.

It’s preparation.

You cannot build rhythm on top of resentment.

You cannot create steadiness while still arguing with your body.

Spring is not just about blooming.

It’s about clearing.

Clearing the expectations that don’t fit anymore.
Clearing the guilt that winter survival created.
Clearing the belief that productivity equals worth.

And here is the truth I am learning slowly.

The more I release, the lighter my steps feel.

The less I prove, the more peace I experience.

The less I push, the more sustainable my energy becomes.

March is not asking me to prove anything.

It’s asking me to prepare honestly.

To notice what I am still gripping.

To decide what I no longer need.

To choose a rhythm that respects who I am now — not who I used to be.

If you’re standing in front of your own planner this month, wondering why you don’t feel as ready as you thought you would…

Maybe nothing is wrong.

Maybe you’re just being invited to release before you rebuild.

Because blooming doesn’t begin with doing more.

It begins with letting go of what no longer fits.

One choice.
One release.
One breath at a time.

A Gentle Invitation

If this resonated, you do not need to turn it into action right away.

You might simply notice where your body asks for kindness and how often you override it. Awareness is enough.

If community feels supportive, you are welcome inside my free Facebook page, Autoimmune Women: Life After Diagnosis. It is a space for real conversations, shared experiences, and gentle support from women who understand what listening to your body actually requires.

And if you have been quietly wanting steadier support, my membership opens soon. The waitlist is now open for women who are ready to move from survival into sustainable rhythm.

No pressure. No expectations.
Just space to listen, notice, and move at your own pace.

Self love is not something you earn.
It is something you practice by listening.

You get to lead.
You get to build your rhythm.
You get to begin again.

One step.
One flare.
One breath at a time.

STILL NOT SURE?

Frequently Asked Questions

Question 1: What inspired you to become an Autoimmune Support Coach?

My own diagnosis taught me how isolating and confusing this journey can be. I realized that while medical care treats the body, very few people talk about the emotional toll. That realization inspired me to create the kind of support I wish I had in those early days.

Question 2: What makes your approach different?

I focus on the whole person, not just the diagnosis. My coaching blends mindset work, emotional support, and everyday life tools to help you feel like yourself again—strong, grounded, and capable of joy.

Question 3: How do I know if coaching is right for me?

If you often feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck after your diagnosis, coaching can help. You don’t have to have everything figured out—just a willingness to take small, steady steps toward feeling better emotionally and mentally.

Question 4: What’s one thing you want every client to know?

You are not your diagnosis. You are resilient, capable, and deserving of a life filled with joy and purpose. My role is to remind you of that truth and walk beside you as you rediscover your strength.
