New Year’s Eve has a certain weight to it.
There’s an unspoken expectation that by now we should know what we’re leaving behind and what we’re charging toward. Goals should be set. Lessons should be wrapped up neatly. Hope should feel clear and energizing.
But for many of us, especially those living with chronic illness or an unpredictable body, the end of the year doesn’t arrive with fireworks. It arrives quietly. Sometimes tired. Sometimes reflective. Sometimes still holding questions that don’t have answers yet.
And that’s okay.
This year asked a lot.
It asked for adaptation.
For boundaries.
For learning when to stop instead of pushing through.
For listening more closely to a body that doesn’t negotiate with hustle.
If you’re honest, there were probably moments when you felt behind. Moments when you wondered why living well seemed to require so much effort. Moments when the pressure to keep up felt louder than your own inner wisdom.
But here’s the truth that deserves space tonight.
You don’t need to rush into a new version of yourself at midnight.
You don’t need to turn pain into purpose on a deadline.
You don’t need to package your struggles into something inspirational before you’re ready.
You don’t need a resolution to justify rest.
What if closing this year wasn’t about fixing anything?
What if it was about releasing the urgency that never served you in the first place?
So many of us have been taught that forward movement has to be forceful. That growth requires discomfort at all costs. That slowing down means falling behind. But living in a body that requires care teaches a different truth.
Sustainable life happens in rhythm.
Rhythm honors energy.
Rhythm respects seasons.
Rhythm allows ebb and flow without shame.
As this year comes to an end, I’m not asking you to make promises to do more. I’m inviting you to notice what you’re ready to lay down.
The pressure to hustle through pain.
The belief that rest must be earned.
The idea that your worth is tied to productivity.
Tonight, let yourself close the year gently.
Carry forward what grounded you.
Release what depleted you.
Trust that clarity doesn’t always arrive with noise.
As I look toward 2026, I’m naming it clearly and intentionally: The Year of Restoration and Rhythm.
Not as a resolution.
Not as a demand.
But as a way of living.
If that speaks to something in you, let it. There’s no rush to define it all tonight.
If you’d like to continue this conversation as we step into the new year, I’d love to walk with you.
You can follow my free Facebook page where I share weekly reflections, lives, and honest conversations about navigating life with autoimmune disease, boundaries, and building a rhythm that actually supports you.

And if you’re feeling unsure about what comes next or craving more clarity as you enter 2026, my From Diagnosis to Direction Roadmap is a supportive starting point. It’s designed to help you move forward with intention, without rushing or fixing yourself.

However you welcome the new year, know this: you are not behind. You are listening. And that is a powerful place to begin.
One step.
One flare.
One breath at a time.
Here Are a Few Common Questions
This depends on which resources you choose, but I design everything to fit into real life not require you to quit your job and make healing a full-time commitment. Self-paced resources: Work through them on your own schedule, even if it's just 15-20 minutes a few times a week Group programs: Typically 1-2 hours per week including live calls and implementation 1:1 coaching: Sessions are usually 60-90 minutes, plus time for journaling and implementing strategies (varies by individual)
Absolutely! In fact, I encourage it. My approach integrates beautifully with other modalities. Many of my clients work with functional medicine doctors, nutritionists, therapists, or other healers. I'm happy to collaborate or ensure our work complements what you're already doing.
I get it...some days just surviving is enough. That's why my approach is gentle and flexible. We meet you where you are, even if that's in bed with a heating pad. On low-energy days, the work might be as simple as a five-minute journaling prompt or a gentle breathing exercise. There's no pressure to be "on" all the time.
While my community and messaging are specifically designed for women (because we face unique challenges with autoimmune conditions), the resources and coaching strategies work for anyone. If you're a man dealing with autoimmune issues and my approach resonates with you, you're absolutely welcome.
